Pilot Vehicles and Signs
Where conditions of an oversize or overload permit prescribe that pilot vehicles, signs, or lights be provided by the permittee, the standards for equipment as set forth in Part IX of the Vehicle Weights and Dimensions on Classes of Highways Regulation (M.R.575/88 <http://web2.gov.mb.ca/laws/regs/pdf/h060-575.88.pdf>) shall be complied with, unless otherwise prescribed by the conditions of the permit.
Night travel may be allowed up to 4.45 m wide and 30 m long. Typically, a load in excess of 3.7 m wide requires escort vehicles both front and rear.
